Visionaries like you work on teams that save lives by developing the medicines of tomorrow.<br /> </p><p>Join us in developing treatments, finding cures, and pioneering the path from lab to life while championing patients every step of the way.<br /> </p><p>Learn more at <a href="https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine" target="_blank">https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine</a></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>We are searching for the best talent for an </b><b>Associate Scientist, Lentivirus Downstream Process Development</b><b> in Spring House, PA.</b></p><p><br /><b>Purpose:</b><br />The Associate Scientist will support the development, characterization, and optimization of lentiviral vector downstream purification processes, contributing to process scale‑up, regulatory readiness, and technology transfer to manufacturing.<br /><br /><b><span>You will be responsible for</span></b><b>:</b></p><ul><li>Conduct small scale lentiviral vector production process development using material from mammalian cell culture. Purification techniques will include depth filtration, affinity and/or Ion exchange (IEX) chromatography, and tangential flow filtration (TFF), sterile filtration etc.</li><li>Performing a range of viral vector process characterization studies to support process performance qualification (PPQ) and regulatory filing.</li><li>Assist the process technical transfer to manufacturing site as needed</li><li>Design, execute, analyze data and draft reports for studies</li><li>Stay current with relevant literature and evaluate new emerging technologies in viral vector production, incorporating them into processes as appropriate</li><li>Work in a team environment as well as individually to meet project timeline and objective.</li><li>Ensure data integrity through accurate and timely data capture/entry into appropriate electronic systems</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Qualifications / Requirements:</span></b><br /> </p><p><b>Education:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of a Bachelor&#39;s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineering, Virology, or a related scientific field is required</li><li>Master’s degree is preferred<br /> </li></ul><p><b>Required:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum 1 year of experience doing protein and/or viral vector purification</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to closely collaborate with scientists and external teams<br /> </li></ul><p><b>Preferred:</b></p><ul><li>Lentivirus/AAV downstream purification experience</li><li>Experience with ÄKTA FPLC purification systems</li><li>Experience with TFF systems<br /> </li></ul><p></p><p>Johnson &amp; Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
